Abstract:
RISC-V, as an open instruction set architecture, is shifting processor ecosystems from corporate dominance to industrial collaboration. Its development faces challenges such as ecosystem fragmentation and immature software, requiring breakthroughs through hardware-software co-design, artificial intelligence(AI) empowerment, and business model innovation. Current efforts should focus on emerging fields like AI and edge computing, developing benchmark products while avoiding direct competition with x86/ARM. Leveraging open ecosystems and customizability will build differentiated advantages. Long-term success depends on unifying foundational software, nurturing talent, and fostering cross-domain collaboration to transition RISC-V from “usable” to “easy-to-use”, ultimately achieving a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
