Abstract:
The China Computing NET (C
2NET) represents a paradigm shift in digital infrastructure, initiated under national strategies such as “Eastern Data, Western Computing” and “Digital China”. It focuses on the high-speed interconnection, unified management, and on-demand scheduling of geographically distributed heterogeneous computing resources to construct a nationwide, integrated, and sustainable computing power ecosystem. By fostering the deep convergence of computing and network infrastructures, the C
2NET transcends the traditional fragmentation of resources. This integration addresses the escalating demand for computing power essential for strategic national tasks and socio-economic advancement. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to establish a public, inclusive, and efficient foundation, realizing the vision of “integrating computing power like a power grid, operating it like the internet, and providing access as seamless as a utility”.
