Abstract:
As artificial intelligence (AI) is widely applied in various fields, science popularization education on AI in primary and secondary schools has gradually become a hot topic in the education sector. Current teaching on AI technologies is predominantly focused on higher education, with limited discussions on pedagogical methodologies for the education stage in primary and secondary schools. In this article, we promote AI education and optimize the dissemination channels and teaching methods of AI knowledge in primary and secondary schools by integrating the efforts of multiple stakeholders, including primary and secondary schools, institutions of higher learning, science popularization expert studios, academic societies, and key laboraries, to carry out multimodal teaching activities such as science popularization activities, after-school clubs, and AI competitions. The practical results show that this comprehensive teaching method has yielded favorable outcomes in the domain of AI education at the primary and secondary school stages. The method has been observed to stimulate students' learning interest and enhance their learning enthusiasm. Consequently, the study provides valuable references and insights that can inform the ongoing development of AI education in primary and secondary schools.
