Evolution and Innovation in the Database Systems Curriculum

This article uses the “Introduction to Database Systems” course at Renmin University of China as a case study to elucidate the importance of heritage and innovation in long-term curriculum development. It highlights, against the backdrop of the rise of online education in the new era and national needs for technological self-reliance and strength, how the database systems course has seized opportunities and continuously propelled teaching reform.
